Kremlin Encrypt
Kremlin provides a cross-platform security suite for Mac and PC. In summer 2002 KermlinEncrypt.com was acquired by Mercury Development. Mercury Development has been working to refine Kremlin, enlarging the range of target platforms and enhancing the software. Now Kremlin 3.0 features seamless support for Windows 98, 2000, XP as well as for Mac OS X, and includes cross-platform, fully portable licensing as well. The uniform GUI allows individuals and businesses to use Kremlin 3.0 without worrying about the computer platform. Cross platform licensing means that larger enterprises need not separate Mac from PC licenses. In addition to a portable file format, now licensing and registration is also fully portable across platforms. Kremlin builds a wall around your data, protecting your sensitive files from snooping intruders. To encrypt a file, drag it to Kremlin Encrypt. Encrypted files can be transferred seamlessly between Mac and PC environments. Double-click on the encrypted archive and decrypt it with Kremlin Decrypt. You can securely remove files from your computer by dragging them to the Kremlin Secure Delete (Recycle Bin). The Kremlin Sentry schedules itself to secure portions of your hard disk and all used memor to wipe all records of your activities when you log off your computer or your computer becomes idle. Kremlin can also be scheduled to encrypt the files when you log off your computer and decrypt the files when you log back on. Kremlin Text is a secure full-featured text editor that automatically encrypts your documents. You can e-mail a secret memo to from within Kremlin Text. Because of the powerful encryption technology used in Kremlin, Kremlin 3 is currently for sale only to US residents and delivered only to US addresses. There is no upgrade option for Kremlin 2 international customers at the present time.
