RenameMan
RenameMan is a tool that lets you rename lots of files very easily. It is designed to be very quick and easy to use. Setting up rename operations couldn't be easier with RenameMan! It automatically detects patterns in the filenames you have selected for renaming, and has a special "auto-select" feature to make it even quicker to set the rename operation. RenameMan lets you store all your most common rename operations, and also remembers the folders you have been to recently. RenameMan has special support for filenames that contain embedded numbers. One such feature is the ability to add leading zeros to a number embedded in a filename, which is useful to make sequences of files appear in the correct order when alphabetically sorted in a browser. RenameMan also has an "auto-number" facility to generate numbered names for files. At all times RenameMan shows how the selected files will be renamed, before any files are physically changed on the disk. It also detects problems such as renaming to existing filenames, making it very safe to use. Anyone who regularly renames lots of files will find RenameMan invaluable!
