DoReMe Music
DoReMe Music is designed to be an easy-to-use but powerful music composer. It helps to turn your computer into a musical instrument (in fact, there are 189 instruments and sound effects to choose from). You play notes by using the mouse, or pressing keys on your keyboard. You can add automatic backing (drums, cymbals etc) to your tunes, if you wish - several types are available, for example Dance, Rock, and Latin. The program contains full context-sensitive help, and hints/tips are shown at appropriate points to guide the user. It can be customised according to the user's skills and experience. The program records and saves in standard MIDI format, but can also convert to WAV (for example, if the user wishes to copy a tune to CD). It is designed with non-musicians in mind, but also includes full editing capabilities and multi-track recording. The software is suitable for most people, including those who do not use computers very often, children, and people with disabilities.
