WebGrid
WebGrid client provides such features as hierarchical headers, column reordering, column and row resizing, client-side sorting and filtering and much more. Programming interface includes enough methods and events to allow for full programmatic control over the grid during run-time. A variety of styles control look and feel of every part of the grid. Even without WebGrid server, client can easily handle hundreds of records. A easy-to-use XML layout file controls grid definition. WebGrid server is used to control the database access. WebGrid server automatically handles server-side paging, sorting and filtering as well as updates, deletes and inserts for very large, virtually unlimited data sets. Not only WebGrid server allows for data manipulation it also can generate grid layout “on the fly”. WebGrid Server is available for ASP.NET, Java and ASP environments. Comprehensive data binding features, like a vector of objects data set, make it easy to use WebGrid server in J2EE or ASP.Net multi-tier frameworks.
